Samantha Allan

Samantha is devoted to helping people through the legal process during what is certainly a very difficult time in their lives. She appreciates the challenges of a relationship breakdown and strives to find the best outcome for couples and families. Providing strong advocacy for clients and fair resolutions are Samantha’s goals.

Samantha earned a Bachelor of Management at the University of Lethbridge (Distinction) in 2010 and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Sussex University in 2018. Samantha is currently pursuing her Master of Laws, focusing on Business Law, through Osgoode University. Samantha has practiced solely in Family Law after articling for a top boutique civil litigation firm in Toronto.

Prior to pursuing a career in law, Samantha managed Aboriginal Environmental Training programs for a Calgary based national non-profit for several years. Samantha also has experience working as a legal assistant in Family and Aboriginal law, both in Calgary and in Toronto. Samantha’s pre-law career gave her extensive experience building strong relationships with diverse audiences. Samantha incorporates her business acumen and knowledge in her legal practice.

Samantha is a strong advocate and has experience at the Alberta Courts of Justice, the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Appeal however she strongly believes that family disputes are best resolved outside of the courtroom through alternative dispute resolution.

Outside of work, Samantha volunteers her time as Co-Director of NCA Network and Podcast Co-host of Legally Abroad, a podcast focusing on connecting internationally trained lawyers, industry experts and leaders on how to navigate the process of practicing law in Canada. In her spare time, you can find Samantha on the reservoir as an active member of Calgary’s Dragonboat community. Samantha also enjoys traveling, adventuring with her dog “TJ”, and attending local markets and concerts.
