Gerardo Quintero is a family lawyer at BDL, dedicated to guiding clients through complex and emotional family law matters with clarity, compassion, and determination.
Originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela, Gerardo’s journey in law and business has been defined by resilience and a deep commitment to the legal profession. After earning his law degree from Rafael Urdaneta University in 2017, he relocated to Calgary to continue his education, completing a Business Management diploma at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2020. He later graduated at the top of his class from the Foreign Trained Lawyers Program (FTLP) at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law while simultaneously completing his National Committee on Accreditation requirements. In June 2025, Gerardo was called to the Alberta Bar.
Gerardo practices in all areas of family law, including child support, spousal support, parenting, property division, and mediation. He is committed to ensuring that clients not only receive strong legal representation but also feel supported and understood throughout the process. His practice is informed by a passion for equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as a recognition of the importance of cultural competence in today’s legal landscape.
Fluent in English and Spanish, with proficiency in French, Gerardo brings a multilingual and multicultural perspective to his work. His international background and academic achievements, combined with nearly a decade of preparation, allow him to serve clients with professionalism and empathy.
Outside the office, Gerardo enjoys fitness, hiking, and travel, and he values spending time with his Labrador Retriever.
